The North West of Sri Lanka Consists of two main districts, they are; Kurunegala and Puttalam. Kurunegala is an ancient city with many histories hidden beneath its sands with eight rocks encircling its premises giving an impression of dominance, and wholly Buddhism. Kurunegala homes the famous athgala” Puttalam homes one of the largest lagoons in the country and is the second largest coconut producer. With the tropical savannah climate Puttalam offers its tourists to experience surfing, dolphin/bird watching, virgin beaches and natural resources. Some attractions include salt pans, Shrimp farms and Crab farms.
